Team

Chris and Dana Coles with their four children enjoyed many self-catering holidays in Guernsey in the 1990's, falling in love with the island and its special way of life and decided to move here in the summer of 1999.

They acquired Les Piques in 2007 and lived in the farmhouse for two years whilst organising the refurbishment of the cottages. They have recently added four new Gold Star Cottages to the property.

Dana enjoys family life, writing, property refurbishment and Pilates. Chris, a non-practising Chartered Surveyor and Barrister is involved in property and business.

Les Piques Country Cottages which attracts guests from all over the world is managed on a daily basis by Julyan and Elizabeth. Julyan with over forty years' experience in the travel and tourism industry and Elizabeth, a Visit Guernsey Gold Accredited Guide bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the organisation.

They are supported by an enthusiastic team; Liz and David are responsible for the colour in the gardens, Paulo for garden maintenance, Martyn, buildings maintenance and the team at Premium Cleaning Services for housekeeping.

Situated in the heart of rural Guernsey in a peaceful area, the cottages are surrounded by carefully tended and attractive gardens. All the cottages have their own private patio except Hydrangea which has its own separate garden. We have our own tennis court which guests are welcome to use. Rackets and balls are provided. There is also a barbeque in the secret garden available to our guests.

There are 27 different beaches on the island and we provide beach equipment for our younger visitors. Nowhere is very far in Guernsey! If you are looking for somewhere to relax then Les Piques can provide that haven of peace and tranquillity but still not far from the coast and beaches. We are in an ideal location for walkers and cyclists with many Ruettes Tranquilles around the area and an abundance of walks on and off the lanes and roads.

On arrival a welcome pack of fresh milk, bread, butter, jam, marmalade, sugar, tea and coffee is provided. We are on a bus route into St. Peter Port which will be particularly convenient for guests to use when travelling on the ferries to Herm and Sark. We are only 5 minutes drive from the nearest shop but still in a picturesque country location.

If you wish to hire a car, you can obtain a preferential rate by booking through the link on our website or alternatively you may wish to hire bicycles for some or all of your stay. There is plenty of parking space in the grounds of the cottages.

We provide our guests with a comprehensive visitor information pack about all aspects of holidaying in the islands. We also always try to meet them on the day of their arrival to welcome them personally and answer any questions they may have or offer advice on what to see and do in the islands to enable them to make the most of their stay at Les Piques and their visit to the islands. .

We hope we may look forward to welcoming you personally to Les Piques and our island home before too long.
